1998) A 39-year-old Charlottesville man died Thursday in a freak accident involving his washing machine. According to police reports, Samuel Randolph Strickson was doing laundry when he tried to speed up the process. Strickson apparently tried to stuff approximately 50 pounds of laundry into his washing machine by climbing on top of the washer and attempting to force the clothing into the basin. Strickson then apparently accidentally kicked the washing machine's ON button. When the machine turned on, Strickson lost his balance and both feet went down into the machine, where they got stuck. __________________ Holy ****my dad went the same way!! __________________ that must have been some washer..did the clothes get clean?__________________ Yikes, talk about good reasons to get a Front Loader washer;0) __________________ i dont know about that. that would mean the guy stayed vertical the whole time he was stuck in the washer. he had already hit his head once. unless he was bent over trying to free his legs and was spinning with the washer while in a tucked position-like an ice skater. i have seen stories where kids have their arms ripped off in washing machines that are running at full speed when they reach in, so i dont doubt the strength of the machine, but the odds of the guy's body being in a position to be spun are astounding. where the heck do you get your news gotmilk? __________________ Quote:
