how to disable macrovision?

My Apex rocks! :0) __________________ ok, does everyone remember the samsung 705 dvd player that was part of a very nice package from HiFi.com? i was just informed that the macrovision can be disabled. does anyone know how this is done? will appreciate any help given. thanx. and if the info i received was false, please let me know (GENTLY! i bruise easy) thanx. __________________ The only one I know of is the APEX DVD player with the loop hole menu you can disable it there. But they have recalled all of them so Its either Ebay or gool luck Finding one that works. There are many others that use the chipset but I am not sure on those. __________________ i think you open the top of the case, find the chip with the macrovision logo on it and hit it with a hammer. __________________ hey! i tried what you told me to do att, and the macrovision is off! in addition, i'm able to pick up 3200 other channels now! most of them from antarctica, just a lot of SNOW! thanx a lot! ok, can ANYONE give me a real answer, please? __________________ There has to be someone out there who has a black box that'll disable macrovision for ya.
