who is/are got|apex??

been thinking about this one. who are got|apex?? where'd it come from and what's with the name? so far, i know there's Apex, Leon, Darth and LPM. Apex is apparently is the head honcho. Leon exists in these forums...? I've read reviews from Darth And I read LPM's news all day long (right, let's not forget about señor GAM} granted, i'm a relative newcomer here. i'm jonesing for a new system and base my purchases to build that system on the reviews and deals i get from here. that's why i started coming. but now, i'm into this forum stuff and the whole got|apex? world has opened up quite a bit. no more is it just LPM and Darth on the front page.. so are there some interesting history/stories behind got|apex? that folks like me who primarily read the news and deals pages are missing? He soon realized how difficult a site would be with so much content, yet didn't want to let his readers down. On that note called two of his friends who lived just over the river and through the smog, Mr. L. Shen and Mr. M. Nagel. These great friends helped provide a major site overhaul, which can be seen now, and currently they are revamping that one. In late December Mr. Lam decided to cut down on receiving millions of mail's from all of his new visitors asking questions. So he created a forum, using UBB's code. This opened a world to free speech but, backfired, Mr. Lam now had to check his mail and posts directed to him. The year turned into 2000 and the server was still running, they changed to a different hosting service, RealShell, which also hosts many of my sites . The forums grew and grew and the deal page got more hits everyday. Mr. Shen loved the forums and wanted other visitors and begged Mr. Lam to set up a HSG and HSD Temporary forum where only the wanted had access, of course since Mr. Lam was grateful for the help Mr. Shen had provided it was made so. Then one day Mr. Lam showed off his kick ass site to a female, and she loved it! Falling madly in love with it's designer wanting to bear him many children so they may one day carry on the webpage, when it will all be in real-time, broadband access would be slow, where a computerized Xepa could do the work for you. Mr. Lam became engaged since not many beauties that love computers come around a lot. Yet at the same time, he could not post as much and do as many changes, Flash to: Mr. L Miller, A La Gut Donor (Or doner whichever you like) Mr. Lam called long distance (Of course using the free 2 minute calls from TellMe.com to ask an old buddy if he had time to post stuff. Mr. Miller happy to be picked posted furiously proving in this day and age we can look beyond ones spelling errors or lack of appreciation for good grammar. Mr. Miller spent so much time posting that he became addicted himself to Hardware and Deals, so much so that his life was Apex, for the better his job asked him to go work at GotApex.com full-time. The forums were still growing at exponential rates, The Apex Bro's in the driver seat decided to upgrade to vBulliten, a great choice I might add. Even then as a virtual community grew, some people who liked to create havoc would post offensive material, The Apex brothers had enough to worry about with News, Deals, Reviews and keeping the site up so they created the Bot of all Bots, THE GAM. This character was to read every post as Johnny 5 would, searching for negative comments unApex links and prohibiting dissention amongst any Apex follower. Like any computer The Gam was flawed and had to be scrapped, instead an individual(s) unknown to many took over this position. As the forums developed into rich conversation in the Off Topic and Suckage forums, one man showed his maturity and was deemed SEP, although it has not yet been made official he enjoys his title and attempts to encourage the Apex movement. As the days rolled by, many kinks were worked out and TheCorp (Real Name Unknown) a realshell employee worked hard to keep the growing bonded community with close to real-time access, which he did a few months ago. Through this brief 1 and 1/4 years A webpage has been transformed into a living entity that many have tried to duplicate yet have failed (Qgen AnAnd), of course like many, Apex.com has an occasional Alex N. or Server overload, but all in all GotApex.com is living high. The Apex Brothers, which include the 5; Lam, Nagel, Shen, Miller, and M are at the roundtable (Ok virtual Net meeting) making decisions that will forever change this page (Ie Mascot, Design, and Forum Logos) for the best. Perhaps there are other hidden workers of GotApex.com, but a great applause to the 5 goes out. That is the Tale of GotApex.com, one day maybe we will be able to tell our grandchildren of many sleepless nights, and maybe just maybe an official SEP will be named. He liked it, said they would try me out for 3 reviews. I did BlackICE, then they said "Hey, could you do some News?" Next thing I knew, I was the news. It's been fun ever since.
