Re: Pony Deal

haha pony in a pill!! That's great!

I love free stuff too. Every week something else comes by UPS, Fed-Ex, or USPS. My wife is starting to get mad at me.

"What do you need another (keyboard, t-shirt, frisbee, pony) for?"

"duh, I don't know. It was free."

Obviously PeerLogic isn't going to send you a pony, but I think there are lots of other companies that promise something for registering with no plans of coming through. The forum is filled with posts of people saying, "I registered at so&so.com and didn't get my free (insert freebe here)."

Many of us are happy to get the freebee even though we have no plans whatsoever of using the company's site or service. They know that. When I wear one of their shirts I become a little walking billboard for them.

At the same time, it wasn't really free. I paid for that shirt by providing information to them.

At what point is it a joke? Free pony - joke. Free t-shirt - not. Free palm - ?.

Hey man, its all good though still. Its still free, you just gotta have some common sense and self control of what you sign up for. About the pony thing, I think it's a contest to win a pony.

i think it's a pony-in-a-pill... like one of those sponge capsules that you put in water... simply toss your pony-in-a-pill into your swimming pool or pond (or even your bathtub) and within minutes a pony magically expands!! just make sure that you have some rope and a winch handy so that the poor thing doesn't drown.

I'm curious to know who signed up for this that doesn't want a pony. . . 'cause if they really do send you a pony. . . hehehe.
