What's with the new icons under our names?

I just noticed that I have a DELETED Hyundai symbol under my name when I post a message. Other people have Mercedes symbols and other people have the normal symbols. Why is that? Any info would help.

oops..Hyundai not Honda...one is a Korean car company the other a Japanese company.

I am not sure, dont qoute me on this.

But from observation the
honda sign have a numeric denomination of 50 post.
Mercedes sign have a representation of 500. And
BMW represent 1000

Personally I think Mercedes sould be 1000 and BMW should be 500. But hey that is my opinion....I guess Apex love Beamers...so where is the lexus represntation.? Ferrari might be nice too...

Honda symbols are completely different.

Hmm, I'm not really sure what's going on with the shields...just wanted to point out that the symbol - which may have been changed since this was originally posted - isnt from Honda.
The H in the Honda logo less italicized and the border is not quite as round.

I think the one on the shields is from Hyundai.
Not that this helps at all...or anyone cares for that matter

Definitely a Hyundai symbol...

as to the meening, perhaps they're prepping us for a car giveaway contest :-)

Yes, Hyundai, but how about something for the 100...I heard acura, that'd be alright, Lexus also works, I think Audi would be a little big (4 rings) or maybe something nice like a Dodge sign or Cadillac.

Hmmm i don't really think these symbols are that appropriate. I like the shields, besides this is not an car website =P event eh auto forum here is one of the least posted one.
dollars signs might be more appropriate here but the old shileds were nice.

I agree with CluelessSi on this one. With exception to the BMW sign for Hapoo, I don't think the other ones look too good.

As much as a car fanatic as I am, I'd have to agree with CluelessSiand Doofy on this one. I think for the purpose of indicating how many posts one has contributed to the forums, the shields look better.

Not to be a dissident, but I don't really like that Galaga shields, and I especially don't like the car ones, particularly because I don't like M-B's or BMW's SO! If we could find something new entirely, that'd be okay by me.

c'mon guys... don't get all sour about it now. I kinda like them.

I just happen to be listening to "Mustang Sally" and got to thinking that the Mustang or Shelby Cobra symbols would go good

Either that, or could use military rank symbols/patches (whatever they're called).

the old ones look like military ones....i'm a big car guy, but they really cheapen the site. The 1000 one is cool but still.... Its neat but it makes the forums look a little more dumb... just my .02...

What happened to the 100 post car logo? or even 10 (does anyone know the symbol for YUGO?)

How about some dollar bills as icons then?
