asians who turn red w/alcohol!

Anyone know of a cure?

How much would people spend for a pill that would make it so that you would not turn red for the night. Plus, considerably less of the crap that comes with turning red(headaches, vomiting, etc)

But why would you want a cure that minimizes the side effects you'd normally have? If that happened, people would drink over their limits without knowing and probably die of alcohol poisoning. There's a reason why your body acts the way it does, i.e. vomiting and headaches. I'm not against drinking in the least because I also drink. However, the idea of a cure for alcohol side effects and redness is absurd unless it also protects you from being poisoned...but I doubt that would ever be developed.

Yeah I know why you are saying that though...I don't know if you're a girl or a guy, but I've noticed girls are so sensitive about turning red. They think it's the most embarassing thing. It's true that people turn red for a reason, but for some it's just ridiculous. One sip and they're red.

But what if it was safe? Like, it would be bad for you.

I don't know if you guys know about this, but the reason why people turn red i because they have a mutated enzyme that is unable to break down acetaldehyde, one of the byproducts of alcohol. What if you were able to take a pill that would temporarily make it all ok? Like for people who are lactose intolerant?

Yeah, the same concept as lactose intolerance, but with alcohol.

Heh, I don't care about turning red. The problem is that if I drink too much my throat swells up and if I drink more than one beer or so this is what would happen to me

There is one way to increase tolerance. I must warn you, it is dangerous. For 3 days straight, drink 1 40 (pref steel reserve or olde english). Then on the 4th day, drink 2 40's. From there on, you are alright

At 12 beers I start feelin' tipsy. At 15 I'm getting pretty drunk. Anything more than that and I'm sloshed! Dang, I drink too much beer...

You guys are terrible! you sound like the drunk girl that totaled my motorcycle. Right after she hit me I asked her if she was drunk. Her answer: "Not really, I'm just a little buzzed." Then I asked her how many beers she had had that night: "Only 6."

Only "buzzed", yeah right. And then her beer-swamped head had the audacity to ask me not to call the cops!

I also wish there was something that could control the redness. It starts immediately when drinking (only takes one), and I can feel the throbbing in my forehead. My eye get all blood shot too. Not only do I talk more, but I look embarasses about it.

put makeup on. get some really pale kind and put it all over your face. that should do the trick. but dont use blush as that will accentuate the red tones in your skin.

Asians turn red when they drink? I've not seen this. Maybe I've just never seen a drunk Asian.

i'm asian. i turn red. then i turn real red. then i turn pale real pale. then i don't feel so well.

but yeah, we do have a mutated enzyme or lack of an enzyme in the alcohol pathway, but there's nothing you can really do about it.

i used to take a sip and be red, now it takes me about 2-3. if you eat lots before u drink, u can hold off the 'redness' for a while, but that's not the bad part. the bad part is the paleness... cause that only means a visit with the bowl.

Welp, after 15 beers, I'm here posting. And posting without any typing mistakes and without pausing to think about the proper spelling of a word. I could drink a few more, but I think I will wait a bit and go to bed. I think that's a pretty good idea. I need to save some beer for tomorrow too!!
