video downloading...

How do I save a video that is being streamed via real media, or windows media player? I hear there's a temporary file folder in windows that might have it but I can't find it. I have some .ram files that I would like to save. These just link me to the videos on the internet, but I want to know how to download them. Any help? Thanks __________________ Right click... Save target as. __________________ yea that's what I usually do...but it's not working for these files. It saves the file as a .ram file which is about 100 bytes in size. I've had this sort of problem before. Some companies don't want you to have a permanent record of whatever you're watching, and make it very very difficult to save. It says that it no longer converts RealMedia files. Also, it seems like it only converts audio files, not video files. Thanks for the idea though. Great for capturing music vids. __________________ ...or, you could do it the round about way: get a video card with a video out port... send the signal to your vcr... tape the asf file onto vhs tape, and then convert it from tape to a digital file again! hahaha __________________ Thanks for all the replies. I found both the ASF Recorder and the Streambox VCR. I can't seem to get the Streambox VCR to work, but the ASF Recorder works wonderful! Captures the stream exactly like the source. THanks guys!
