U don't scare Me

Is it just me or there a conspiracy to scare people, specifically young women? I haven't bothered to go out to the theaters for a while because it just seems that every big movie out has a plot or subplot about women gettin stalked, etc. How about more comedies or real romances fer cryin out loud?
