Going deep sea fishing next week. I want a survival knife that has everything and looks cool. The problem is, I don't know anything about knives. Can anyone point me to good quality knife manufacturers? I don't want a cheap made-in-china, about to rust knife. __________________ How's this one?14" Survival Knife with a waterproof handle. You can use it for other activities besides gutting fish; like gutting rabbits and deer (in self-defense, of course).__________________ Just make sure you don't drop it on your foot.__________________ I remember that time I had to gut a cow in self-defense. The sucker had almost got to me, then I gouged out its hamburger and had dinner.Fuz ------------------ -So I sez to him, getch yer own monkey. __________________ Leon really better make sure it doesn't cut off little leon. {shades of Lorenna "the slicer" Bobbit} __________________ quote: Hey, what's wrong with made-in-china products??? __________________ quote: They're made in China. __________________ NOTE: If I have offended anyone with the above statement, please forgive me. I deeply apologize. It was meant in good humor; and was not meant to be offensive at all.__________________ Yeah man, we know you were just messing around. However, I'm not quite sure about your other statment in the "Insect Suk" thread. quote: __________________ Oh man, I'm dying from the "little Leon" post. SBP, I've missed you and your beautifully illustrated posts. Thank God you didn't put a pic up for "little Leon". Only Jenny would have appreciated that.Kill a rabbit in self-defense? Like those giant 8 feet fuzzy pink man-eating kind? Man, I think you guys have had one too many puffs on the ole Peace Pipe if you know what I mean. As far as the Made In China thing, what he meant to say was electronics and metal workings imported to this country from China blatantly suck. Hey, I call them as I see them. My coworker and good friend who just came over from mainland China just 3 years ago even admits to this. What we don't get from China are their good products like their leather goods and silks. You think Italian leather is all that? Think again my friend. Leather from India and China is the best quality in the world. Hmm, when did I start studying American consumerism? Gotta stop watching Nova. ------------------ Ço£o§§ü§ - yeah you can read into it... __________________ You got it, colossus. Have you ever seen a swiss army cheapie from china? I certainly don't want to be stuck on a desert island with that. It'll probably rust!__________________ Leon,Get a leatherman wave. Mine cost $70. It was a bday gift actually. But I saw it at target for $50 recently on sale...i don't know if it's still on sale. There is also a tool adapter for $25 or so that'll fit any 1/4" hex bits. This is VERY handy for computer nerds like us. I'm going to pick one of those up soon. http://www.equipped.com/wave.htm check out that page. Very good review. I find this tool indispensible. I also have a leatherman micra on my keychain and that's been very useful too. I have more gadgets on my keychain than keys. Have fun leon. |
