NSYNC singing the anthem???

OK . . . everyone who loves baseball . . . raise your hand. Now . . . if you already have yer hand up and love NSYNC, keep yer hands up . . . Hmmmm . . . all the hands went down I see . . . were they trying to target that huge section of 12 year old girl baseball lovers or something?? Great idea Mets . . . yeesh!! Like I REALLY need ANOTHER reason to root for the Yankees over the Mets! hehe __________________ there wasn't any cheese around at the time was there? What were they wearing? __________________ Now Cmon, Sure we all dislike NSYNC but booing anyone singing the National Anthem is wrong Unless it's the return of Rosanne Barr "or Arnold or whatever" I'm A NYer myself and really thought that was wrong, I mean they weren't even playing in the Bronx !! __________________ Hey, I didn't boo 'em!! But ya know . . . if they sing the anthem at the MTV Teen Weenie Video Awards or something, that's fine with me . . . there's a market for them there . . . they fit in . . . but singing it at the World Series?? The ONLY thing worse would have been if they had sung at Yankee Stadium . . . that would have been flat out BLASPHEMY! The Babe and Lou and Joe and Mickey woulda rolled over in their graves! BTW - they were wearin' World Series jackets . . . and as for the cheese . . . of course there was cheese around . . . they WERE in Shea Stadium after all! I thought they did a great job though. Gave me the chills, and everything. __________________ just one question: How badly did they modify the National Anthem? (sorry guys, I didn't watch the game) I think if the modified it and turned it into a pop/rock song, yeah, they should get a little booing. If it was sung, relatively close to the "normal version", it's OK. I think any major modification to the song shows disrespect, and dissapproval (sp?) should be shown. __________________ The way they performed the song is not the issue, They were booed when they were announced. Now I'm don't have the time or desire to decide to pick which Kiddie Rock, Pop or Rap groups I hate, I mean if I don't like it I don't listen to it. But there is a certian amount of respect we should all have when anyone is about to sing The National Anthem and if you don't like the Band that's performing it then just don't applaud for them ! Booing is just innapropriate and disrespectful to the USA ! PS I have switched the stations quite a few times because of NSYNC but I thought they did a very good job singing the Anthem " But that really isn't the point " __________________ I didnt think Cheryl Crow's performance was too good last night myself. I usually like her music but I realized after last night that she really doesnt hold a tune very well. Anyone else get that impression? Mavi forum
