Sony or Harman Kardon?? Anyone?

Could someone tell what there opinion is of these two receivers:
Harman Kardon AVR 300 Dolby Digital/DTS Receiver OR Sony STR-DE935 Dolby Digital/DTS Receiver?
I'm planning to get the JBL S310 speakers and well I'm clueless about the power issues from the receivers. The AVR 300 puts out 60W/ch while the Sony puts out 110W/ch but the speakers are like 200W. Could someone enlightment me on the performance if I get the AVR 300 over the Sony?

I second that. Sony isn't very high on any knowledgable home theater techies list of Good Stuff(tm).

listen, if you dont know the difference between the two, then the odds are you will be just as happy with a sony as a harmon kardon. most people dont hear the difference between receivers. just choose the one with the most functional design and options for you and have fun with it

Unless, of course, you opt for the low-line kenwoods which have such horribly dirty power outputs that even 1/2 deaf novice can hear the difference.

If you must get the Sony, try to find the old DB series. I think it was the DB-925 or 935. It's basically what they now call their ES series, which is their top of the line stuff. The DB's are discontinued, but you might be able to find it for cheap.
